Experience Dance and Fitness- Medals, Exams & Competitions
The primary aim of our Club is to encourage an enjoyment of dancing, whether it be for social reasons or for competition or examination purposes.
Many of our members have reached the stage where they would like to work towards some kind of goal, which will help them to improve their standard and to give them recognition for their efforts.There are many options from simple, non-technical exams, right up to the dizzy heights of professional exams. We enter students twice a year and always obtain fine results, although we don't always take photos!! Here are a few we have taken!!

Competitions
Some of our students want to try competing against other people. All ages and abilities are catered for via IDTA Medals Competitions and the British Dance School competitions.
In July 2012 Angela Howes succeeded in winning the BRONZE LATIN AWARD for her age group in an IDTA Medals Competition, and all our other students who took part were placed in the top 6. Congratulations to Angie, Margaret, Christine, Mick & James.
Latest News:
In February 2013 Angela Howes and Vaughan Tapp came 5th in an Open Ballroom Competition at the Beginner Level, competing against students much younger than themselves. In the same competition a scratch team of Christine Ashby and Andy Vassilev took part in the Novice and Intermediate Latin branches. They acquitted themselves well and are looking forward to building up their dancing relationship and competing in the next Open competition in August 2013 in London. Congratulations to both couples on a job well done.
