Description of Levels of Ability & Knowledge:

Starter Class     Little or no previous experience is expected or required. The four main ballroom dances of Waltz, Quickstep, Ballroom Tango and Foxtrot are taught sequentially over a 6 month period, and are then repeated so if you have not done one of the dances it will soon come round again. The same is true of the main latin dances of Rumba, Cha Cha Cha and Jive, with tasters of Argentine Tango and Salsa.

Next Steps 1 :    It is expected that you know the very basic steps and figures taught in the starter class. Additional figures will be taught along with a more formal introduction to technique. You will also be introduced to the basic steps of Samba, Paso Doble and Viennese Waltz

Next Steps 2:     These classes will work at a higher level with more advanced figures in the main classes, but are not exclusive to those with experience. Next Steps 2 includes a technical workshop on a  Thursday which is open to anyone interested in improving their dancing skills
